The Digital Disciples Tee reimagines the Last Supper as a messaging thread — the twelve disciples tagged like contacts, the scene framed like something you'd scroll past in a group chat. It's not irreverence. It's translation. The original scene was intimate, immediate, a small group of people fully present with each other around a table. A group chat, at its best, is trying to do the same thing across distance — keep people present to each other when they can't be in the same room.
The joke of the graphic — disciples as contacts — is also the point. These were real relationships before they were religious history. Judas was a name in someone's contact list before he was a cautionary tale. John was someone's closest friend before he was a Gospel writer. Putting them in a messaging interface doesn't shrink the story. It reminds you the story was made of actual people, the way your contacts list is.
What Changes, What Doesn't
